Hi,

I am new to this whole Panerai thing, although I have admired the watches on websites and magazines for years.
The opportunity arose recently to purchase a PAM 00279 – brand new from a dealer in the Middle East.
I have a couple of questions – some of which may be just plain dumb – but forgive me. As I said earlier I am new to this whole watch thing.
What do I have to maintain the watch in A1 condition?
What do I have to do if I don’t wear the watch for a month or so – do I need a watch winder?
Does the watch sitting idle for an extended period of time damage it in anyway?
What does the automatic refer to with regard to this watch?
