Hello Everyone. Glad to have made it to the Panerai Source. Found my way here by chance looking at PAM Straps, and have found some interesting topics and information here. Glad to be a member. My name is Jason, and I live on the West Coast of BC in New Westminster. I finally after several years of looking, trying, & saving, I've picked up my first. I've decided on one of the classics of the modern era of PANERAI. PAM 312. Enjoy

Hey Nelson! Thanks for the compliment! I went to Palladio 'several' times and spoke with Dorothy. I requested a 312 a few times. I came back quite a few times asking about if she had contacted her rep, she had sadly forgot. I was told that all Pam's were so popular in their store they could barely keep them in stock, and that I should buy whichever one I liked in the case that day because they might not even be there tomorrow. I brought my wife in to have a ring appraised and Dorothy completely forgot to even mention the 312 or acknowledge I was in the market for a watch. To say the least I was less than impressed. Subsequently I took my business elsewhere. Kinda a shame actually. Would have liked to establish a relationship with the local AD Have you had any similar experiences there? Jp |

JP - I've had similar experiences there with Dorothy, and I know that everyone that has complained has also had problems with Dorothy in particular. I don't like to deal with her, and she's the sole reason I don't like to shop there now. The owner at Palladio is Jason, and he is great to deal with, but isn't always there. Dorothy seems to be the one that's always there. I've only met Jason once, but I have a friend that swears by him. |

Maybe if she'd click her heels together a few times, she'd be outta there. Where do you recommend for service in our area for Pam AD's then? I dropped by the dealer in downtown Seattle they had a decent selection, but their prices were MSRP ++. OUCH. jp |

For servicing an in-house movement, I think Palladio is the only place to go. You'll have to hope you don't see Dorothy there. She's been there since before Jason bought the place and renamed it to Palladio, so I don't see her leaving too soon! If its one of the ETA Panerai movements, you can always go to otto friedel in hotel vancouver. |
