Strap making is a hobby of mine that I enjoy greatly. It takes me back to my long gone days before I got into design and photography, when I was working as a goldsmith, creating fine jewelry.
Sure, working with leather is different than working with gold and silver but it requires a similar amount of skill, handiness and also a knack for precision (no see-saw keepers here!). In short, I find the entire process very relaxing and I simply enjoy making all sorts of straps for myself (including camera straps for my Leica).
In the attempt to let a hobby/obsession pay for itself, I decided to make some of my creations available for purchase.
All straps are handmade and hand-stitched (Hermes technique) using only 4-ply waxed linen threads. Some will be unique and one-of-a-kind: Once they are gone, they are gone for good. No matter what, I will not produce another one like that.
