While surfing on Ebay I came across this "BOB Watch Bands" straps made for Panerai.

They're really cheap, do you guys think there's something wrong with it? Quality etc?

I have never heard of them, but that's no reason to think they're no good.

My advice, based on the fact they are not expensive, is to buy one and check it out - you're not going to lose much if it turns out to be rubbish.

My personal opinion on aftermarket straps (And OEM straps for that matter) is that they are all pretty much over priced based on the materials and work involved. This opinion is entirely personal, and I feel sure I'll get loads of remarks from the strap makers, but let's face it, this is a small strip of leather with a few holes punched in it. I simply cannot imagine why they are so expensive, so perhaps now is the time for someone to explain this to me.

Get one and try it out would be my advice. Let us know how you get on.

PS. For info, I've recently purchased the BA (Buckle) OEM version of this yellow strap - 250€

I actually hoped someone else would buy it and let me know

As for the price of the straps, I was also thinking why it is so expesive for a handmade watch strap. I was looking at my belt and I guess this was hand made too, but with much more leather, bigger buckle and it wasn't that expensive!

Yeah I reviewed them under Waccex BOB Straps... because the site is waccex.de

I really like the Marino straps, the Vertigo is alright, but not as nice as the Marino straps.. they are a really good price in my opinion. The review pretty much says it all for me. :)
