Hi, Do anyone tried or using similar technology to safeguard the leather straps ? I think it is quite a good idea if it really work. I guess the protective layer will prolong the lifespan of the strap as it's block the any water to make contact with the water surface.

There are other products designed for leather that allow it to repel water.. and some straps out there have this treatment. It does change the feeling of the leather so some people don't like it. There are a handful of makers out there that use these types of products in their lines of straps, can't remember off the top of my head, but Dirk straps are waterproof.
