Hi all,

I just got this from a person who claims he is an authorized Panerai dealer in France. It doesn't look authentic to me, please help me identify.

Thanks.

The top screw driver is my original.

top is original from my watch, bottom came with the strap and deployment buckle

the rubber strap is a bit softer and not as smooth as my original. it traps dust quite easily.

my original is a bit thicker and blacker.

Couple issues I see.. Panerai rubber is made in Austria now I believe, not Italy? Or is it both? Either way.. the strap says Italy, and the bag says Austria, so there is an inconsistency there. Also, the deployant should have small words Panerai repeated on the back of the piece that has the two bits sticking out of it IIRC. Yours does not. But maybe the older ones do not. Be careful comparing your tang rubber with the deployant rubber, they are different straps so may not be comparable.

Thanks for the input. The rubber doesn't feel as durable as my original which makes me not feel comfortable trusting it is authentic.
