Post subject:  PAM177 M Fake or Real?

Hi Everybody.

I would like to move from a jaeger lecoultre to a PAM and appreciate any help to understand if this PAM177 M is real or fake.

It looks good to me but I am no expert.

Bought from a friend who claims he got it Preowned from a Jewellery store. No Paperwork only the box with watch and 2 bands.

Thank you very much in advance.

It's never easy from pictures but i have to say imo it doesn't look 100%

The colour of the blue lettering on the movement looks a little pale compared to the richer blue Panerai use normally, and worse the movement decoration is wrong.

Compare it to this one http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/paner ... mplete-new

Does the plaque inside the box lid say "OFFICINE PANERAI" on a polished background or "OFFICINE PANERAI FIRENZE 1860" on a brush finished plaque?

Here is a fake box http://www.look121.com/Panerai-Accessor ... -3913.html

This is a real one http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/t ... arwood+box
