Anyone have an opinion on the authenticity of this???

Now way in hell looking to buy...just thought $135k for a watch with a noticable glare raises a red flag with me...but I'm not a Panerai expert.

That flea-bay item has been doing the rounds recently - and I think it's pobably genuine. The 203 is extremely rare (Limited to 150) - despite the fact they came out in 2005 they're still being produced today, obviously in dribs and drabs, but you'll have to be friendly with Angelo Bonati if you want one.

The current list is 18000€ but the 'herd' instinct on certain fora, and the rarity of the object, have elevated this to cult status so to get one people are prepared to go to, imo, obscene lengths...or at least pay obscene prices

Sure it's an Angelus SF 240 movement, like the 6 267's which were produced this year - and that is rare because Panerai are "using up" the left overs from Pre-V days - but I really don't think 135000$US is even close to it's real value - OTT

But then there'll always be someone with more money than brain cells...

Yes, prob real but a fake price.....rare but not that value rare!!
