Hi all,

I have always thought it strange if someone could not make up their own mind on a watch without seeking advice from others, but I am now in that same situation and don't actually know what to do.....

I put my order in for a 312 a long time ago and was told I would probably not get one due to the rarity of them... ... However, I got a call the other day to say that my new 312 has arrived and is ready to collect. er... wow... i didn't expect that!

I have two other panerai that I don't really want to get rid of (111k and 250j) but is this an opportunity not to miss? I could buy this aswell, but am struggling with the whole justification of spending £4k+ on another watch.

I suppose that i am wondering whether I could enjoy it for a while and sell it without too much of a loss? how rare are they?

I do not buy watches to sell on, but as I have two that I really like I would only really shell out another £4k for something that is rarer than most...

I nice dilemma to have i guess, but a dilemma nonetheless!

Any views genuinely appreciated!

DT

i would suggest that you go with what makes your heart beat faster. i myself have a 312,got it last month. it is quite a classic and i love the luminor 1950 case. why don't you check it out at the AD first before making a final decision. cheers!

... so I now own a 312. I went to have a look at it yesterday and couldn't resist!

I do need to move something else on though.

They have a new base left hander in the window. I thought this was a slightly more dificult piece to come by...

Cheers

Congrats

I had the same problem. I went to my AD a week ago to have a look and talk Panerais.
I asked if they had any of the new P9000 series. I was told that they only had one that was reserved for somebody...
Well now they called me and told that that person did by something else.

So now I will be picking it up later this week.

Congrats on your new purchase. That seemed to be the problem when it comes to Panerai, isn't it. Many a times people pop into the AD with the intention of just having a look, but they end up coming out with one neatly wrapped around the wrist.
