This is an old debate on many forums, but i'd like to know the current views of members as to which is regarded as the nicer piece.

I like both for different reasons and can see the argument in favour of both too. But, which one do you prefer, and why?

The 233 original solar/dot dial, (not shown) or the revised model. The 270 is of course unchanged

I cant understand why this is a debate on so many other forums....270 ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!

I also much prefer the 270.. the domed glass, 10 Day Movement... nuff said!

sorry for the noob question guys....but is the 270 slightly bigger than the 233??

I'm surprised, i thought the 233 was the winner just about everywhere. Maybe i ordered the wrong one after all?


(Both are domed crystal and both cases are identical diameter @44mm. The 270 is a little thicker being an automatic)

Right - 233 is a domed one too... really comes down to movement then. I think many people prefer the hand wind movements of the 233, which is one of the charms of the watch. I think from a purist standpoint, the 233 is more desirable. However, I generally prefer automatic winding movements, and I like the slightly cleaner power reserve bar on the 270 over the 233.

Would of thought the 233 is more desirable as its the cheaper of the two. 270 for me.

Anyone know what the MSRP of these two models is off hand?

Wooooweee. Nice and high. Big price difference there too.
