AD is getting all three soon, other than the obvious (date, exhibition back etc) what are the main differences between these? From the Panerai website I can see that they almost have different case designs with the 283 being the most attractive, AND it has a date! Too bad no exhibition back :| and I am guessing no sandwich dial either right?

the 183 is the original Black seal right? is it a more coveted model for some reason? Is the movement better decorated? It is just slightly more than the 210.

I just can't get my head around the 183 - it's difficult enough for me to like Radiomirs, but the added seconds on the 183 just do nothing for me, and if anything, detract from the simplicity of the Radiomir design. Yes, it has a sandwich dial and an exhibition back, but for me, the seconds just ruin it.

The 210 however, is a real beauty - exhibition back, sandwich dial - simple and beautiful - 5 stars!

The 287 is even worse than the 183! Sorry, but that horrible cyclops stuck over the date just ruins the face (and don't get me started on the 'seconds' either...!)

I can see you're leaning towards a Rad, and frankly (and this is MY opinion and I fully understand I'm in a minority of one here) for me it would have to be the 210 - the last time I saw one in my AD I actually hesitated, I admit....

(Of course, if you're really determined to own a Radiomir, I know where there's one going cheap... ;) )

I can see what you mean, I am leaning towards the 210 but I have to say the 287 is nice as well, I never had an issue with cyclops, in fact I kind of like them, especially on the Luminors.

Im tottaly with you on the seconds hands on the Radiomirs, very unbecoming! More so the chrono unfortunately.

I have to say my absoluet favorite Radiomir (other than the Cali Dial) is the 98 GMT/ALARM. Sweet watch! Too bad the alarm sounds awfull and it is so rare.

Don't get me wrong - they're all nice watches, but my very first Panerai was a 240 with the cyclops - and I just couldn't get used to it at all - it just seemed to bugger up the lines. Funny really, given that both my Rolexes have the date magnifier!!!!

I think I am just going to wait till a 98 shows up. I would really like my rad to be a Cali but fat chance :|
