I saw them all yesterday and conclude many of this years models are real duffers from my point of view. What were they thinking with the 423  They re-created a 6152 syle case specificlly for the 372 and then completely ruin the look with a modern PR indicator model, the style of which i've never liked or understood.

They won't be getting my money for any of these and they still owe me two from 2011 anyway

I'm with you on the 422. On the list and think it will make a nice addition.

They have quite a few new models and those are nice to see, but 47mm are just a way too big for me :(

I stick with my old 212 and 141 for the time being....until I'll find another beauty on the market.

Please enjoy : http://www.paneraicollection.com/web/catalogue/

Cheers,
Alex

My take on this years crop is poor and most i actually dislike.

I personally see no reason, or more importantly any need to engrave 'VINTAGE' on any of the cases or indeed the model name on the rehaut. Do they think we don't know what we're buying?

I can see the appeal of the 422 but the sub-seconds is too large imo and i would not want a 372 & a 422 myself. The 423 is just hideous. And a date function on a Cali dial :o have they lost the plot?

The only one i would have considered is the 448 Cali but as it's one of the Boutique only editions, my wallet is free from any ragging this year.

that will leave at least one 422 for me....i also like the 425 might be a better compliment for my 372 than the 422, i'll have to see what they look like in person.

I can see (i think) the attraction of the 425 but not the silly pig on the dial. Time to give that one up imo as no original watches ever had it. It's just not necesary, imo of course, to add that to an otherwise 'nice dial'. The Dievas homages look better for not having it and cost rather less.

I'm not taken with 2012 models having the name engraving on the case or rehaut either. Less is more and what i thought Panerai was all about. I fear the marketing department is too far away from their original core values now

2011 could be their last good year for me. 2012 will certainly be cheaper though :)

i agree that the pig needs to go, i have to see it in person. other than that i think 2012 will be cheaper for me also.
