I just bought the PAM 000 from an AD and got an alright deal. Apparently, they are a sought after model. I am upset that Panerai had two price increases this year 2008. One in April and the other in Sept. I wonder what the reasoning is for this? Anyone know any good site for a deployment clasp? Mike |

If you don't want OEM you could try Panatime for a deployant clasp. 'Deployment' is usually what happens when troops get sent somewhere... |

Does the 000 not come with the deployant? |

No it doesn't - in fact there aren't many models that do - and I'm pretty sure no 'Base' models. The Marina Automatics are the first to have the deployant clasp as 'standard', followed by the 241 power reserve, and the Chronos. Strangely, even the Manifattura come with a normal buckle. I think it's all down to 'historical' accuracy reasons etc. which seems pretty meaningless when you consider that it's pretty unlikely to find a military diver wearing a torbillon... HTH |
