| Post subject: | PVD or DLC a PAM base........... |
...........or buy a 'real' one? Not sure i could live with the premium for a factory 'black' piece but kind of fancy trying one out. So, should i have a base treated myself or not? DLC i read is a far better finish than PVD but i don't know much about either process or where offhand, to get either done. Anyone with suggestions, within Europe i think, for simplicity reasons

I admit to having considered this too - it's said it can be done in the states for 600$US which seems 'reasonable' (if anything 'Panerai' can be called reasonable  )I'll check with the people I know... |

Yeah.. its a pricey proposition either way. If there was a large demand for it I could source out some people i know that do large amounts of DLC work and get some group discounts... though I personally don't want to DLC my own. I know that the price drops significantly when you do several peices. |
