Just purchased a base PAM000. Wondering whether one winds the OP movement until it is "tight"? I have had an Asian "Unitas 6947" movement on another watch and it winds tight, but the Panerai never seems to be fully wound. |

My Zero needs upwards of 50 turns to fully wind the spring - so a few more, a few less would seem reasonable. I wind it until it becomes firm - there doesn't seem to be any warning on these movements, either they're free and you wind, or they stop and it's wound! |

Thanks for the advice. I finally have a feel for the resistance that constitures fully wound status for this movement. |
