Which one you prefer Luminor or Radiomir? Why?
For me Radiomir look more Classy, Classic, Dress Watch while Luminor look more Robust, Rough, all day watch.

hi SB,

surprisingly i found panerai by way of IWC. i love the simple design of the portuguese dial but found it to be a tad "small" at 41-42mm compared to the big breitlings. i read a few OT threads, watched a couple vids from admin and whoila...the best of both worlds bigger dial with simple elegance 8-)

i bought a J series 183 3 weeks ago...but i will upgrade to a 190 hopefully and sell this one....my goal is 1 233 and one 190 eventually, not sure of timeframe.

i bought a couple straps last week but none of the screwdriver around here would fit so now i'm waiting for the bergeon.

It seems that Panerais argument, regarding the lack of screwdriver with a Radiomir, is that the Luminor range is more 'sporty' and therefore justifies the inclusion of a method for changing straps.

On the Luminors this can now be done without a screwdriver on many models - I doubt we'll ever see a quick change strap mechanism for the Rads...

The 183 is a great start, but as I'm not really Radiomir (And I drive an Audi) what do I know!! The 233 however, is really beautiful. I've got the lazy mans version...

All that's left would be the Tourbillons (276,306)...but they're both 47mm...

yea i don't think there's a luminor date/2nd hand without the PR correct?

the rad side have the 287.

Post subject:  Re: Which one you prefer?

On the contrary - there are very few Luminors with small seconds that have the power reserve indicator - it's pretty much 'standard' on the manifattura, but for the contemporary range, there are only the 90, 171 and 241 which have the PR indicator.

What was the original question again?!
