I'm new to this forum and planning to purchase a panerai watch. I'm looking for any information on PAM 00222, any relevant information will be useful (price, history, etc).

After searching several watch website, i found that there are 2 conflicting sources indicating that the case materials for PAM00222 is steel or titanium. Which is the correct one ?

The 222 is the SE 2005 Regatta model of the classic power reserve model the PAM00090.

Both the bezel and the case are in brushed steel, with the added 'bonus' of a 'Paris Hobnail' dial - very fetching . This is popular with the Regatta Special Editions.

The caseback is engraved with "Classic Yachts Challenge 2005" and there were 500 units produced.

Thanks, Sportback. Do u by any chance know the retail price for the 222 ? and what is a good price for pre-owned 222 with excellent condition ?

It's difficult to say as I've yet to find one for sale, and the price lists from 2004/5 don't list the price either...

Going on the age, the rarity value of the Regattas etc. I'd hazard a guess at around 4000€ to 5000€. (A PAM00090 sold new for 4300€ at that time)

As it happens, there's a 2004 Regatta in the "Buy/Sell" section here (Now how did I know that... )
