Moderators rant: Over the last few days, someone, somewhere has been innundating this forum with 'spam' posts - advertising everything from cheap ADOBE software to Viagra and worse (I for one could do without explicit porn on a watch forum, but then perhaps I'm in a minority) I do my best to A: Ban the 'new' members and B: delete the posts, but it's worrying as I'm not always available. So, if you see 'strange' posts that have no part here, please don't bother to reply to them, or indeed to send me messages - I'll do my best! (And profuse apologies if I don't get there in time....) |

Hey Sporty, I've replaced the captcha with a new one, which is much more difficult to hack. Hopefully this will deter spammers from invading our space! I am testing it here before I use it on Breitling Source, as this one is harder to read. You can try registering a new account to see what it looks like if you want

Oh weird.. whoever wrote that tutorial on implementing Recaptcah really screwed it up.. it made it even easier since no captcha was being used. I've added a custom field, so this one should really help slow them down, it has done wonders for Breitling Source. Also, noticed a lot of spam is from old spam bot accounts as well... you should pm me with the usernames of the offenders and I can ban them so they can't repeat offend. |
