I see there's been a 600 pound increase for the model which is currently favourite to be my next (the 088).

Still, at least I guess my 111 won't be depreciating too quickly...

i didn't know the msrp is so low for this piece. everytime i see in the after market people want 12-15k usd for it?? always thought it was overpriced from panerai since the piece is nothing special to me...

It's that price - if you can get hold of one from an AD (Which you can't - they've all been pre-ordered)

The initial clamour for this piece was generated by members of 'another' Panerai forum - for some unknown reason they manage to create a 'desire' for pieces really not that special to the rest of the world.

The technique is very simple: a 'revered' member desides that everybody should buy a fart in a jar - and the forum goes completely ape-shit - everyone wants one - why? Cos "I spend more time on here than with my wife" said it's a must-have.......

Why don't people just buy what they like? Perhaps it's just that they have to have everything done for them, including the choice of their watches?

"Okay, now we'll do some breathing lessons: breath in....breath out....Now do you think you can do that on your own? No, ok, one more time with me..."

gotta admit when i had the 183 blackseal for a few days i drank the kool-aid and went after the 190 because "it was the greatest rad ever...", don't regret the decision one single bit. the 292 otoh, black case/solid back/regular movement/overpriced...bleh i'll take a pass. give me a cool 210 base anytime

I've not been able to find a copy in USD. Theres a few people asking around, but responses are via PM's.
