Hi all,

I am a noob and keen on getting my first panerai soon. I came across a preowned Scuderia Chronograph FER 00008 and need some advice before jumping in.

Is the Scuderia Chronograph FER 00008 worth getting at all in comparison to other Panerai models of the same range?

Any reviews on the movement Panerai OP XII calibre?

many thanks in advance! :)

I'll be frank... If you don't own a Scuderia, then no.

It's like buying a Porsche watch and ball cap but not owning a Porsche.

To me, and thats a very personal me, i find that tacky and wannabe.

Now on the other hand... it's a VERY nice watch (I mean common... Panerai... Ferrari... only thing missing is a hot legged blonde that comes with the watch!).

One thing you can be sure... Ferrari, Panerai, Italian, Quality, Carbon Fiber. If you like those, go for it.

if you want a panerai...save up for a panerai. don't go for the ferrari line. most pam enthusiasts consider them the unwanted, unwashed stepchild of your most annoying neighbor, so resale value is extremely low if you ever want to sell. i think panerai and ferrari have also ended the relationship.

Thanks for the tip...what you said is very valid...that's one of the reason i started the thread...cos i noticed the preowned scuderia series get dump at fairly cheap prices and I can't figured why...
