The winder for setting the time has stopped working on my PAM 000. Since I don't wear my watch at the weekend I often set it on Monday. Luckily I bought almost new & with warranty card. I'm very miffed that this has happened to be honest. Just wondered if this was a common problem? |

My buddy's PAM88 broke twice in the warranty period.. each time takes 3-6 weeks. I've been lucky with all of mine so far, and so have most people I know. *knock on wood* |

It's just got me thinking what if it goes after the warranty. One of my reasons for buying something like this, is the fact that as long as I look after it, it will work without issue. |

With a Mechanical, if you take care of it, it should last forever... however, stuff can always breaks down - like cars. It depends on the user, and the person that serviced and repaired the watch along with many other factors that can occur along the way. |

I wear mine for work & evenings & that's it, so it's still as new after 12 months. Dropped it at the local AD, so we shall see in another 6-8 weeks. Did say any work carried out would be covered for 12 months, so adds a few extra months onto my warranty I guess. My concern is if it goes again outside of that period. |

But does that mean that the warranty gets extended or just the work that the repaired? I've never really understood that part fully. |

When they have a service they are given a years warranty so i would of thought the warranty gets extended. |

i am also confused. i know for a full service u get the 1 year warranty...but what about something minor like a date-wheel change or replacing a scratched crystal? |

True, but does that mean if they repair a broken date wheel, and then 6 months later the minute hand stops working, its still covered under the 1 year service warranty? I've never had a watch break that much before but just wondering. |

to be honest it was a comment made by the jeweler. I should of asked for a clearer explanation. Now for the good news..........it's back! So that was 2 weeks & 3 days! |

Even better I got a free carry case which is something I was looking for anyway + the woman who served me was stunning. Was funny watching my pal blush & panic when she said hello. |
