Hi guys, I just bought my first Panerai, a PAM312. I love it. Just a question. Is there a better way to change the date than moving the hour hand? Also because it has such a clean dial without the minuet bars, what is the best way to set the time accurately? Frank |

congrates on the wonderful watch. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the movement in the 312 so I can't say if it has a way to quickset the date. |

no worries guys. went to richmond centre in sydney today. looks like it is not a quick date change system. by the hour hand only. I asked them about the straps, quite expensive, 420 aussie bucks with buckle. i am now trying to buy a couple of straps from other makers. they look pretty good too. Thanks Panerai Source. I am buying from Bas & Lokes in Sydney. I do love wearing my PAM312. |

I think the oem straps are way overpriced and at times boring. Make sure you check out the aftermarket strap reviews by Admin. He has done a wonderful job. There's such a great selection out there. |

unlimited supply of aftermarket pm straps out there. i had a 233 and even tho the movements are different some functions are probably the same. to set time accurately on the 233 i just set the time to any 5-min marker (12:20, 12:25, 12:30 etc) and sync it up to the atomic clock since the second hand hacks. |
