First of all, congrats on the purchase!

Correct way to wind depends on what you are winding it with. If you are winding it with your fingers, just turn the crown clockwise to wind. If you are using a watch winder, you need to give it a full (or close) wind before setting it in the watchwinder since most won't wind it up to a full charge from idle.

Secondly, since the movement is based on the Valjoux 7750, it only winds clockwise, so set your winder to only wind clockwise.

i dont have a 104 but my 328 took a while to get fully wound, so take your time. i've had no issues with this watch or any of my autos stopping in the winder. my winder winds both clockwise and counter clockwise....about equal time for both.

enjoy the new purchase....
