Hello all. I introduced myself in August. I was falling in love with the PAMs and now ....bought one - my first! I bought a pre-owned PAM 111 (pictures to come). A question: the case has little scratches due to the previous usage. Is this case polishable? Is this advisable? Thank you. |

Yes you can polish it - carefully - try a Cape Cod cloth. Great choice for a first Panerai (for any Panerai!!) - enjoy |

As Sporty said, a great first PAM indeed, I find it has the most apealing charactiristics of Panerai; Sandwish dial, clean looks, crown system, saphire back and it looks great with a great deal of straps. May I suggest looking into Mario Paci straps? The thick ones are truely amazing. Enjoy!!! |

I am considering a PAM 111 as well. It would be my first Panerai. I found a great deal on a used one but I would be the 3rd owner. The watch has some scuff marks on it and needs a cleaning. $4,175 shipped. Not totally sold on this or to wait for our cruise in November to shop for a new one on the caribbean islands. Thoughts? |

What year is that 111? A new one would cost $5200 in the caribbean IF you can find one there at Art of Time. Chances are you will not see a 111. You will see a lot of $10K models, which are substantially more expensive as the cheaper $5K models sell very quickly. |

I ended up buying it today for $4,050 + $117 to cover the seller's 2.9% paypal fees. So $4,167 total. It is coming with an after market calf strap and the OEM rubber strap. The original OEM calf strap was not included in the deal. What do you think? I should have it Friday. |

That's a pretty good price IMO. With all the instability in the economy there are lots of good deals to be had these days I think. |

I am expecting the 111 tomorrow before noon! I'll have to post pics this weekend. Sorry to hijack this thread but it seems we have the same situation on the used 111. Here are the Simona straps I ordered for the 111 today!.... Brown: http://www.simonastraps.com/index.asp?s ... rodotto=17 Black: http://www.simonastraps.com/index.asp?s ... rodotto=22 |
