Hey Sporty, is the pic you have labelled as a 321 above actually the 329 in your other post about these new models? Either way I'm a BIG fan of 321/9 (whichever it is!), the 320 and the 312. I'm not a fan of DLC as it's still just a surface coating. Ceramic, yes, but surface coatings leave me cold. No matter how tough they are, they aren't indestructible, so if you catch one right (or rather "wrong"!) you will scratch the coating.

The pic of the 321 is correctly labelled - this model has the 'reserve de marche' indicator which the 329 doesn't, besides which the 329 has a steel bracelet. Sadly I don't have a pic of the 329. As to PVD/Ceramic, if you're prepared to pay the price of a ceramic Panerai, so be it - PVD can indeed be scratched, ceramic can be shattered...

I stand suitably corrected on that one! (I only suggested it as your description of the 329 just said "44mm Steel Luminor 1950 3 days GMT Power Reserve with P.9002 calibre", so as that pic (which is the 321) was the only in-house GMT with a power reserve, I assumed a typo! Very true, but if I was in the market for a black watch, and the choice was a PVD (even if it's DLC) coated piece, or ceramic that I couldn't afford, I just wouldn't have a black watch! Just a personal opinion obviously......... The problem with ceramic is indeed its brittleness, but a number of manufacturers have added compounds to the ZO to improve it dramatically. For example, IWC's Doppel Chrono Top Gun is supposedly extremely tough. Just as an aside I came across one ZO ceramic manufacturer that gives a demo of their ceramic by hammering a nail into a piece of wood with a ZO ceramic hammer!

I take your point - we'll see as I've reserved a 28... As to the original post with the list, there were some errors, and I've updated and modified from time to time as new info comes to me. Sorry if I mislead.

Thanks for the additions Admin - as to what's being discontinued, I'll try to find out (The guy I usually ask is probably a bit fed up with my questions - I don't want to wear him out (!) so I'll try to find out from other sources )

If you mean why has the Radiomir 341 got a crown guard, it's all in the name. 'Egiziano' means Egyptian in Italien, and this is a faithful reproduction of the batch of 50 Radiomirs ordered by the Egyptian government from Panerai in the 1950's. Very very rare. The term 'Radiomir' was originally used to describe the flourescent material used on the watch dial - Luminova for the 'Luminor' - but has since come to distinguish between the two 'styles' of watch case.
