Hey...has anyone seen the latest OEM panerai straps? WHAt do you think? I was at my local AD yesterday and he whipped out some gorgeous straps. He said they were new. The where deployant leather croc straps but had a suede texture to it. You have to see in person to appreciate. Totally different from the norm.

Coop - those "Nubuck Croc" straps are not that new, they are what are called the JV Croc strap, or Jules Verne Croc Strap. So named because it was introduced on the Jules Verne PAM 216 shown here:

As you can see.. the watch was introduced in 2005.

Maybe just new to that dealer :)

Damn do i feel dumb...I had no idea. My AD was raving about how new they were and how they're gonna be the hottest strap this summer. Maybe it was all a sales pitch. Thanks for the info. As always, you are on top of your game.....on another note, do you recommend buying from watchesuwant dot com? Are they legit? I like there prices compared to my AD. I want a pam113 so bad. Or a pam 114 but really a pam113 : )

Don't feel dumb :) Its all good! Its just those sneaky sales staff are always playing stuff up to sound better than it really is. Having said that, those Nubuck Croc JV straps ARE pretty cool.

Watchuwant is one of my advertisers, but I've never purchased from them before. They have a fairly decent presence online, and seem to be quite transparent about their staff and busines - however, do check around to find people with actual experience dealing with them.
