I've just picked this up this morning and spent an hour taking some pics which I thought I should share.

Very nice, hankering for one of these but thinking that the 243 would just sit better on my wrist.

Thanks guys. I took a few more pics this afternoon to try to show the size of the watch in comparison with some other big pieces, so I hope these help anyone thinking about a 305

First up with my other 2 Panerai subs - an 87E and a 24C. Hopefully you can see the difference in dial size - the 87 has a much smaller dial due to it's thick xtal and wide bezel v the 24, and the 305 is only 3mm bigger but the dial appears much bigger than the 87

Next up, with my Ennebi Fondale. Someone on another forum asked me whether the 305 wears as big as the Fondale. It doesn't. Both 47mm obviously, but the Fondale is taller, and its bezel is vertical which exaggerates its size.

and I had my 232 to hand, so it joined in :D

by which time my wife thought I was loosing my mind, so I stopped the photos and had a nice espresso ;)

Bloody hell thats some collection!

I did say before that the Subs haven't really caught my eye but looking at those pics I will have a closer look the next time I'm at an AD.

Good stuff.

Cheers
