I've seen lots of Panerai's on TV over the years, especially on Criminal Minds. Part of me wonders, are these real ones or fakes? Are they props or personal watches? What do you guys think?

If they're props/costumes, I can see how they'd be fake though...

but if they are props, why use fake? wouldnt they be able to get the real thing from Panerai since it would be like free advertising for Pam?

Doubt it.. Panerai's are limited in production and you barely see the watches in the shows. Only Panerai nuts like us would even notice them... no zoomed up tick tock shots like in the movies. The movies might have real props though, but I doubt TV Shows would.

Was watching Conan's premier last night and it looked like he was wearing a PAM on a bracelet.

since we are playing "lets spot the panerai on tv game" i was watching a new show called "the good wife" and one of partners in the law firm (i believe his name on the show is Will) was wearing what appeared to be a 104.

seems weird to me to put fake pams on shows. only people like us would even care about the watches so why put a fake in if you're going to put anything in at all?

I think using fakes would be highly unlikely. I'm sure they are either from someones personal collection or rented from a prop shop, either way, I'd assume (and hope) they are real.
