Alright, I've had a look through the list of models on this site(can't wait for my catalogue to arrive) and made a small list of models I really like. My 2 favourites would probably be the PAM 28 and the PAM 220!! I realise the PAM 28 is probably very expensive I couldn't see it on the pricelist but I love the black look. The PAM 220 is a stunning watch but at $7600 it's out of my reach!

I quite like the entry PAM 005 with the logo and at £2300 it could be a start also the basic look of the PAM 111 caught my eye to!

I really, really like the PAM 104 with the leather strap, there is something drawing me to that watch and at £3100 could be the ONE :) .

So thats a few of the models that struck a chord with me. I also realise that the prices might not be up to date and if anyone out there could advise me on prices and availability or generally what they think of these models I would be delighted.

Cheers

Andrew

The 28 is listed at 6300€, so I think you'll be looking for a 005...good luck, as it's a nice looking Base.

I can recommend the 111 without hesitation. Had mine for 6 days now and I still can't stop looking at it (both the front and the display back) :D . It's a popular model so it may not be the easiest to find.

I like the look of the 104 too. Bit of a trade-off compared to the 111, you lose the DB but gain an automatic movement.

Thanks for the comments guys it's well appreciated and nice to get some sound advice. The difference I have with buying the Panerai to a Breitling is that I haven't seen any in the flesh whereas the Breitlings can be found in most AD's here in Scotland so I need to hunt some down! I'm going to Aberdeen shortly and Glasgow in June but not expecting to see much on that two visits. I could possibly be travelling to Eastleigh near Southampton in May for a long weekend so the possibility to view some there might be good but until then the research MUST go on! :D

Thanks again

Andrew

Andrew, the 2 dealers in Scotland are Hamilton & Inches in Edinburgh ...George Street and Watches of Switzerland in Glasgow..Argyll Arcade

if visiting Glasgow, go and see WoS manager Ronald Sinclair.....most helpful and gave me loads of catalogs/the historica book etc etc etc, he knows all about allocations etc, he has my 219 order.

pm me if you want my contact details etc.

cheers

John

Andrew, if you haven't seen any in the flesh yet then I suspect you're in for a surprise (in a good way), they really are impressive. I didn't really get interested in them until I saw them in person.
