Hi everybody,

A reputable dealer here Singapore is offering me a Panerai watch, brand new in the box (actually all 3 boxes) with all the right serial numbers, booklets etc. etc. However, the famous Panerai guarantee card does not bear any dealer stamp, except for a handwritten name.

Somebody was telling me that Richmond, the official service company, will not honor a guarantee card without the dealer's stamp on it.

I am a bit at odds, since the price for the watch is about right and matches the common market prize.

I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice in respect of the guarantee card issue.

Many thanks in advance

pretty sure panerai will service the watch if you will pay the fees. once the 2year panerai warranty is up the warranty card is just ornament anyways. just factor that cost in and if the #s and serial on the watch match the movement sticker a blank warranty card wouldn't stop me from doing the deal.

when you say handwritten name...is that on the 'name' part or the area where the AD stamp is supposed to be? sounds weird.

Cxbxax,

Many thanks for the quick reply. In fact the handwritten name appears in the area reserved for the dealer stamp.

sounds odd, handwritten name of the dealer? if they're an AD maybe u can give them a call to straighten it out.

i've brought 2 pams in the beverly hills boutique for service. 1 was under warranty and they took that info in, the other was out and they didn't even ask for the warranty card...they just took down the serials for the paperworks.
