How do people ship watched, not so much locally but from the UK internationally? Ive done this once before & it was a challenge to find a courier that would delivery with the right insurance.

Cheers

Personally, i've only ever sent outside of the UK once to Holland and my own all risks insurance policy covered that. I'm not well informed on the details but you can send via Fedex or similar with a low declaration and insure the item to full value by Parcel-pro, or similar.

My view is, unless you absolutely have to do this, i wouldn't.

Think the lowest insured price I've had is £120 from UPS. Seems allot for a non urgent service.

It may be non urgent but surely value and appropriate insurance is the biggest issue? I don't think the main carriers will accept openly declared watches anyway. You have to get a little creative with your declaration, like precision instrument, or measuring device as examples though seperate insurance is still needed.

Best check T&C's with DHL/Fedex/UPS to be sure of your situation.
