Hi Guys,

I am new to the site, Im 28 years old and from Canada. I am hooked on expensive watches and on the verge of purchasing a Breitling to get my collection going, but am falling in love with Panerais. I just want some input on the Panerai Power Reserve 171 model with titanium and steel bracelet. I love the look of this combination bracelet anyone own one? Also any pictures other than the one on Panerai's site? Another thing is why are there no Canadian prices in the price list section? Sorry for all the questions!

You should head over to your local Panerai Dealer and see if they have one in stock, or something similar and see if you like it. I have the regular Power Reserve model PAM90, but it looks quite different from the bracelets.

Ok my next question is, does anyone have any hook ups at Canadian AD's to get decent discounts? Or is Panerai pretty stiff on the prices? What is the price of a 171 in Canada, about $12,000? I dont have a Panerai dealer here in New Brunswick, the closest I believe are in Montreal and Toronto form the Panerai website. Im not ready to buy so I dont want to jerk the dealer around right now, just looking for some info.

At Palladio, the western Canadian dealer, the canadian prices were the same as the US prices last I checked. I was surprised.. but the US$ has gone up a bit since then so I dunno.

For your information, Panerai's are in great demand, changes of the AD having the exact one you are looking for can be slim.

You could of course order one, but then when its going to arrive can be subjective. Or you will have to pick one which the dealer has in stock at the moment.

I ordered my 308 the day it was announced back in April...still waiting.

Edit: it finally arrived on the 26th December...but it was a very special SE...
