Hello all I am new to the Panerai world!

I have been looking for a sometime now for a new watch to add to my small collection. I have fallen in love with Panerai watches! They are truly amazing and I want to own one now!

I really want a power reserve complication and the sandwich dial combo. So, I have narrowed it down to these two 268 Radiomir 8 Days & the 233 Luminor GMT 8 Day.

Any thoughts or advise out there as far as collectability/desirability or anything else? Like I said I am new to this brand and don't know all that much. I have tried both the watches on and love'em both. My first lust was for the 268 Radiomir but I am really not sure anymore.

Thanks for any advice or opinions!

For me it all comes down to what you're looking for in a watch - I don't think either is better or more collectable than the other - they're both the same movement, the only difference being the case.

Personally, not being a fan of the date cyclops, the Luminor talks to me more, which is why I bought the 270, but I'd take either if someone offered me one ;)

if i had no panerais and had a choice between those 2...i'd pick the 233. i like the cleaner dial and the gmt is an added bonus. if you've tried them both on and the 268 speaks to you more, then you should get that.

unlike SB if someone tried to give me a 268 i'd tell him please trade it for a 233 first then i'd consider it. :P

Whereas I'd probably actually sell it - and buy a car
