Panerai releases a handful of Special Editions every year with very low production numbers using a variety of movements from their own calibers to manual wind Venus and Valjoux movements, often with exhibition backs revealing their extensive decoration. These watches area typically very difficult to get and are popular with collectors, commanding high prices on the secondary market.
